The new 2011 Super Duty’s available all new 6.7 liter PowerStroke V-8 Diesel Turbocharger and 6.2 liter V-8 gas engines, coupled with a new TorqShift Heavy Duty 6-speed automatic transmission, deliver significantly improved horsepower and torque.
Improved Fuel Efficiency
More power doesn’t have to mean more gas. Along with offering significantly improved class-leading fuel economy, the Super Duty’s 6.2 liter gas engine is E-85 capable, and the 6.7 liter PowerStroke Diesel is B20 (BioDiesel) capable. The new 6.2 liter has made a 15% improvement in fuel economy over the previous gas engine, while the new 6.7 liter has made an 18% improvement over the previous diesel.
Among the enhanced off-road control features for the 2011 Super Duty are Hill Descent Control and an Electronic Locking Differential, which provides maximum traction by locking the rear wheels to turn at the same speed.
Super Duty has best-in-class towing and payload capabilities and offers more towing innovation: A first-ever factory-installed 5th wheel/Gooseneck Hitch Trailer Tow Prep Package is attached directly to the frame and has a towing capacity of 24,400 lbs. Super Duty also boasts of best-in-class conventional towing capacity at 16,000 lbs.
Features such as the exclusive standard Trailer Sway Control and enhanced tow/haul mode offer the utmost confidence when towing a big rig. For more peace of mind, Super Duty offers available integrated Trailer Brake Control.
The new, easy-to-use 4.2 inch LCD Productivity Screen, located directly in front of the driver, stores mileage and fuel history, gives access to off-road features such as an Inclinometer and provides a towing checklist.
